Dear Guru Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to you!

This is my first time that I am writing a Vyasa-puja prayer to you. I’ve been struggling for a long time, not knowing what to say and where to start. There is a Chinese saying, “The first step is always the hardest”. Every first time is never easy. Therefore, before I start, I pray to you sincerely, begging you to bless me with wisdom. Without your mercy and blessing, I can do nothing!

Before I joined the Hare Krsna movement in 2011, I never thought I would have a spiritual master who would accept such a fallen soul as I. Prior to that, my life was full of ignorance and uncleanliness. I have been going through ups and downs for 5 years in Krsna consciousness. Deep down I know that I still have a huge amount of problems. These problems make me know that I am far from being qualified to be accepted and recognized. Yet, Krsna is always most merciful, full of affection and tolerance to His devotees. I’m far from becoming Krsna’s devotee, but He sent His representative to save me and help me, this fallen soul. The moment you accepted me, I experienced unprecedented joy and peace. That sense of insecurity long hidden in my heart was diluted and dissipated completely. I’m no longer afraid of any trials and tribulations on my spiritual path. By your guidance and help, I know I’m bound to cross the bitter ocean of material existence and arrive at the bank of spiritual bliss.

Every time when I’m with you, you would help me reinforce my faith in Krsna. Again and again I see the love of a pure devotee towards Krsna in you. You are always in the service of Krsna and Srila Prabhupada. You never waste even a single minute. No matter how tired your body is, you look effulgent whenever you speak about Krsna Katha. The nectar flowing from your lotus mouth always attracts every soul on the site. Every speech that you give on spiritual subjects is so enchanting!

Besides, I have a little wish that if my body permits, I would like to travel with you in China next year. On this auspicious day, please bless me to always have the qualifications to serve your lotus feet. Please bless me to never forget Krsna, and always think of Krsna. Please bless me to be always in your service. Your instructions will encourage me to pass every single day with Krsna Consciousness.
