My most respected and beloved spiritual master and eternal father,

nama om visnu-padaya krsna-presthaya bhu-tale
srimate romapada-svamin iti namine

Please accept my most humble and respectful obeisances in the dust of Your most merciful divine lotus feet. All glories to You, all glories to His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada!

On this most auspicious day of Vyasa-puja, I want to express my deepest heart felt gratitude for the countless gifts that You and You representatives have been bestowing upon this most fallen unqualified conditioned soul. I pray and seek Your mercy and blessings to be able to express my gratitude not just in the same boring words over and over, but in my actions.

As I reflect on this year, I feel I keep receiving endless gifts from You and Her Grace Prema-tarangini Mataji, and my reciprocation is always too short due to my impurities and shortcomings. I feel that there were many interesting external and more difficult internal difficulties for me, but due to Your and Mataji’s loving guidance, I am receiving the strength to try to overcome difficulties and move on. I feel very fortune and blessed to have the loving association and shelter and very wonderful, careful training of Her Grace Prema-tarangini Mataji.

I am very grateful to you for giving me association of so many wonderful friends in Your family. I am learning a lot from them in so many ways – such as connecting to myself, glorifying devotees and their mood of service, and being in a cheerful mood. Due to these relationships that keep Guru and Krsna in the center, I get a little glimpse of what a true relationship is.

Due to my great fortune I am receiving most valuable instructions from You and Her Grace Prema-tarangini Mataji for my ultimate well being. As Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura has stated, the order of the spiritual master is the life and soul of the disciple. As a man cannot separate his life from his body, a disciple cannot separate the order of the spiritual master from his life. If a disciple follows the instruction of the spiritual master in that way, he is sure to become perfect (Srimad-Bhagavatam 3.24.13). On this most auspicious day of Your appearance, I beg for Your mercy to be able to accept the instructions whole-heartedly and execute them with enthusiasm and full faith.

On this most auspicious day of Your appearance, I beg for Your mercy and blessings to become humble and submit myself fully to Your instructions and training.

Guru Maharaja, on this auspicious day I humbly pray at Your divine lotus feet to please bless me so that I can somehow become an insignificant instrument in serving You and Your representatives.

O my eternal father, the ocean of mercy, the deliverer of fallen, I, the most fallen, bow down unto your lotus feet again and again and again. Please accept my most humble and respectful obeisances in the dust of Your most merciful lotus feet.

Aspiring to be your eternal humble servant,
