Dear Guru Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to you!

Dear Gurudeva, I hope I can really appreciate your mercy and kindness, not only today, but every day of my life.

Thanks to the heavy rain in Wuhan, my wish became true. You not only stayed in Kunming for more days, but visited our city twice within a year! Thus, I had the greatest fortune to travel with you to spread Krsna consciousness. I never thought I could have the chance to be so close to you, to know such an unfathomable saint as you, in such a detailed and calculable manner.

I witnessed and had a first-hand experience of your compassion: apart from eating simple foods and having little sleep, you are always engaged in giving lectures, holding private talks, writing emails and preparing lectures. You devote all your time and all you have to the general public.

I witnessed and experienced your perfection. For every moment, you are using your body, mind and words to interpret scriptures and pass out your love to your spiritual master and to the people in general.
In Shanghai, after a public speaking, I saw you go out of the lecture hall and enter the elevator. You were so tired to stand still! At that sight, my heart ached and was struck with wonder. You are nearly 70 and had just ended a long flight. How much love would it take for you to overcome your bodily fatigue and speak to the audience with such patience and passion? Again and again. There are too many unforgettable moments in Lijiang, in Kunming. They gave me great inspirations and touched my heart. Dear Gurudeva, thank you for coming to my side with great mercy, thank you for your wordless teachings!

I was so fortunate to receive your initiation. When I knelt down at your lotus feet, when I accepted the beads you have chanted on, when I heard you cry out my spiritual name, time instantly became so profound and everlasting. Life became so fortunate and auspicious. And space became wide and broad, as if since time immemorial to the everlasting future, I have been a child at your lotus feet, protected by you, and have followed you to preach all over the world. Dear Gurudeva, I wish I were the most pious child at your lotus feet. I wish my steps no longer falter. I wish I could love others just as you did.

Every morning, I put my palms together to pray that my dear father be all the best.

Your fallen servant,
