Our dear Guru Maharaja,

“I offer my respectful obeisances unto my spiritual master, the deliverer of all fallen souls, whose mercy turns the dumb into eloquent speaker and enables the lame to cross mountains.”

This is the power of descending mercy from the guru-sisya parampara. We can experience the transformation of our hearts and we can become free from very ancient prejudices by such powerful mercy. We are very grateful for descending mercy flooding into our life so much. So much sacrifice goes into delivering descending mercy to the resistant conditioned soul. It is such a thankless task! We are completely undeserving soul to become objects of such descending mercy.

Compassion, patience, sacrifice, tolerance, humility, and mercy – these are the most amazing qualities of our acaryas that always deeply touch our hearts. No matter how fallen a soul is, if he wants to take shelter with little sincerity, spiritual personalities make all efforts to save him. Fallen soul tries to drag his feet and escape into Maya but a true representative of Srila Prabhupada always prays for him, makes practical arrangement for his protection and tolerates all his mistakes with great patience. A spiritual teacher’s life is a symbol of sacrifice for the service of delivering conditioned souls back to Krsna on behalf of Guru and Kṛṣṇa. We have personally been such fallen students, however, through our spiritual teacher, you have always protected us and pulled us forward on the path of Krsna consciousness with all such wonderful qualities. We express our heartfelt gratitude for all the mercy you have been showering upon us through our preceptor. We hope and strongly desire to put all our efforts to come closer to the true surrender to parampara.

With all humility and regret we beg at your lotus feet for forgiveness for all our mistakes, offenses, and beg for your mercy to become increasingly sincere and surrendered on the path of pure devotional service.

Your aspiring servants,
