Respected Maharaja,

Hare Krsna!

Please accept our humble obeisances at your divine lotus feet. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to Your Divine Grace.

On this auspicious occasion of your Vyasa-puja celebration, we are grateful to have received this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to you.

Maharaja, the gift of your recorded lectures, heard in the association of devotees, is the prime force which propels us forward on the path of pure devotional service. Your recorded lectures inspire us to make a sincere attempt to practice the principles of Krsna consciousness in our daily lives.

Such an attempt brings to the forefront a simple realization that we indeed lack Krsna consciousness. A hankering develops to achieve that state. The world seems to be an instrument designed to make us realize the ultimate importance of becoming Krsna conscious devotees.

Desiring to actually achieve that state, we realize that it would be received only as a gift, if we genuinely desire it and beg for it from the right source. Begging requires that we realize we do not currently possess it, neither can we earn it through our efforts and that there is no one except you, the current link to the guru-parampara, who can bestow this gift on us.

Though we continue to struggle in our practices, we are very hopeful because sometimes we feel the reduction in the constant heaviness felt in heart while interacting with the world and its complicated mesh of relationships.

Maharaja, we beg for your continued shelter and pray that we may always be engaged in some service to you, guru-parampara and Lord Jagannatha. Serving from the heart is our only solace in this world.

May we remain engaged in your humble service, far away from pride and become your worthy disciples.

Your servants,

Devamira dasa and Sravaniya devi dasi
