Priti-vardhana devi dasi
Dear Gurudeva,
All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to spiritual father, You.
Please allow me, this fallen soul, to offer obeisances unto the dust of Your lotus feet.
Hare Krsna! Time flies! It has been ten years since I started receiving your mercy! That was when my fate began to change! Today, on your Vyasa-puja, please allow me to wholeheartedly offer my prayers to my dear father! In this material world, there was a fallen soul, who met her spiritual father Romapada Swami in her life.
My Gurudeva, your association has given me spiritual vision in painful and confused moments of life which made me aware that freedom from material bondage is possible only by devotional service!
I am fortunate that I became your first Chinese disciple and was able to serve you directly during my early days, that honour is the greatest happiness in my life! Each time when I travelled with you, your speech and behaviour as well as your enthusiasm for serving Krsna inspired me to understand bhakti better! Each time you gave me an instruction that I was completely unable to fulfill reminded me to start over again and this is how I can overcome the pain in my life!
When I see your firm faith in Krsna consciousness which is exhibited in your teachings, your precepts and personal example. I see that, only by fully surrendering unto Krsna and spiritual master, one can become humble, compassionate, one can wake up more souls to bhakti and let them know the ultimate goal of life.
Your appearance, undoubtedly, is an opportunity for us to understand real happiness. Having the opportunity to meet you is eternal happiness. Your greatness, your teachings, your devotion and the mercy you gave us are doubtlessly our shelter and spiritual awakening.
Gurudeva, by your blessings on your Vyasa-puja, I believe I will make an effort and also wish you will reciprocate with my prayers by bestowing mercy upon me!
I am not qualified to face you, so I can only sincerely express from the bottom of my heart that I wish Gurudeva good health and happy birthday!
Your most fallen disciple,
Priti-vardhana devi dasi
