Dear Guru Maharaja,
Hare Krsna. Please accept our most humble obeisances at the dust of your divine lotus feet. All glories to Your Divine Grace. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Guru Maharaja, you have often highlighted in your lectures that the duty of a spiritual master is to remind the disciples of the abject futility in trying to find happiness in this temporary material world. Meditating on this message has been an essential compass in navigating through the waves of material life. This has been particularly true in the past couple of years where the world has started putting a number to these waves creating a false hope of the count ending soon. However, thanks to your regular reminders, we are spared from the futile pursuit of trying to win this whack-a-mole game of material life and focus on the True North of re-establishing our connection with Krsna through the steady practice of devotional service.
We are grateful to you, Guru Maharaja, for giving us a taste of hearing and reading transcendental topics of Krsna and His devotees through your daily lectures, which are always a soothing balm for the bruises and burns of day-to-day Kali-yuga life.
We also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all your dear senior disciples, particularly Bhayahari Prabhu and Indulekha Mataji for connecting us to you and for always being there for us. We hope and pray to, someday, be of assistance in their services to Your Divine Grace in preserving and sharing the gifts of Srila Prabhupada.
On this auspicious day of your appearance, dear Guru Maharaja, we sincerely pray to Their Lordships Sri Sri Jagannath Baladev Subhadra for your continued good health to continue your services to Srila Prabhupada and beg you to keep us in your shelter always.
Thank you very much Guru Maharaja.
Your servants,
Venugopal dasa and Mangalapriya devi dasi
