Dear and respected Guru Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I have benefited immensely from your association and would like to express a few aspects that deeply touched my heart.

The Manah-siksa series that you gave recently has been the highlight for me this year. I have been meditating on –

  1. Importance of sound – I liked the way you said not only the software but the hardware changes. The example was of Raghunatha dasa Gosvami while reviewing one of the writings of Rupa Gosvami on separation pastimes, his health deteriorated and as he was asked to review another book of pearl pastimes his health got better. Surely the potency exists in sound, to the extent each individual takes. I would like to pray to be empowered to serve the disciplic succession with awe and reverence, eagerly endeavoring for the hardware and software needed for my service.
  2. Becoming free from pride and cultivating unprecedented attachment towards the givers of bhakti. I had the opportunity of serving Tulasi Maharani by the mercy of devotees this year. I learned there is a bug that comes and feeds on Tulasi Maharani’s leaves and weekly once an organic pesticide was to be used to keep her free from pest. When unprecedented attachment to the process and givers of bhakti is to be cultivated the pesticide of gratitude is needed to keep away from the bug of pride.
  3. Association – I was deeply moved by your answer to the “how to” questions – sadhu-sanga. When I felt my life was falling apart and I need to hold on to something. I was asking the question – “how do I preserve my Krsna consciousness in this situation”. Since I heard multiple times from you, I promised myself to choose association against all odds that come my way.

Your servant,
