“I was born in the darkest ignorance, and my spiritual master opened my eyes with the torch of knowledge. I offer my respectful obeisances unto him.”

Most respected and dear Guru Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to your life journey ennobling Srila Prabhupada’s service so incessantly! All glories to your most beloved master, Srila Prabhupada!

As a student a long time back, I once heard you mention how life journey phases can be really daunting if we are not grounded firmly in Krsna consciousness under the able guidance of our mentors and teachings of Srila Prabhupada. How true, Guru Maharaja! Despite my utter negligence in following Your wise instructions, You have very mercifully blessed me with an abundance of protection in this chosen path for which I’m ever grateful. I pray to always remain committed, holding on to this eternal shelter offered by you, Guru Maharaja.

In a recent yatra class you mentioned ‘how my good fortune is resting on my Krsna consciousness. To the degree of my Krsna consciousness, there will be reciprocation from Krsna, ALWAYS. The type of my Krsna consciousness, the direction of Krsna consciousness, intensity of Krsna consciousness, and the focus of my sankalpa—these are what my lifeline and good fortune is resting on and on Krsna’s mercy.’

A daily meditation and application of this one principle with all sincerity is enough for this lost soul, Guru Maharaja. You had very, very kindly shared this. I want to thank you very much. To learn how to enact this principle, you have given the best association of your most beloved disciples, mentors—who practice so ardently, reflect and share time and again—reminding us of our good fortune, given to us by your mercy, Guru Maharaja. Thank you very much.

I sincerely pray, may your exemplary instructions resonate with me always, Guru Maharaja.

Sincerely, your aspiring servant,
