Dearest Guru Maharaja,

Please accept my most humble obeisances at the dust of your lotus feet. All glories to your Holiness! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

“We think that we have met Your Goodness by the will of providence, just so that we may accept you as captain of the ship for those who desire to cross the difficult ocean of Kali, which deteriorates all the good qualities of a human being.” [Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.1.22]

I have been contemplating on this word “causeless mercy”. Oftentimes it feels surreal to have really found a path that can actually help one to get out of the cycle of birth and death. Even more surreal than that is that you found a wandering soul like me and by some unimaginable mercy took me under your shelter.  How can this even be possible? I see I possess no qualification, no talent, no scholarship, yet you have accepted me and not only me but my entire family under your care. This is only due to the causeless mercy of your divine grace, Srila Prabhupada and Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

This year you have invested a great deal in helping my son, Rohan.  He just showed a small interest in wanting to go deeper in his spiritual life and you are so gently fanning that spark. From my own upbringing and cultural background, I knew only a traditional path that most children take in setting up their material life first, which made me very apprehensive of Rohan wanting to focus on his spiritual life first. You comforted me and gave a right spiritual perspective that my materially bound sight couldn’t see. Your words made perfect sense and they gave a lot of hope and solace. Rohan felt a lot of support from your guidance on his journey to wanting to go closer to Krsna. We are truly deeply indebted to you, Guru Maharaja, for your kindness, care and support that you are showering on us lost souls.

Guru Maharaja, your live and recorded lectures are like a rope that a drowning person can catch to help him cross over this material ocean of nescience. I didn’t realize how they are such an integral part of my life until you went to China and there were no live classes for over two weeks, I felt that something was missing in my life. Your lectures are so precise, so enlightening and always seem to somehow answer my internal questions miraculously. I feel lost without hearing them. Though, I would like to hear them more attentively.

On this special auspicious day of Vyasa-puja, I offer my deepest gratitude and myself to you. I hope to keep learning from your example and imbibe all that you have been teaching with one-pointed attention.

Your aspiring servant,
