Hare Krsna dear Guru Maharaja,

Please accept our humble obeisances. All Glories to Your Divine Grace! All Glories to Srila Prabhupada!

We are so grateful to have you in our lives. In speaking with students about the role of guru, it really hit me in a strong way that this service you’ve taken on is the highest, possibly most thankless, and definitely most consequential way to spend this time here. You often say “Krsna is so kind.” In accepting us as your disciples, there is the formalization of an eternal relationship – you are so kind to share Krsna’s kindness with us. By providing a structure to guide us through this life and beyond in our journey to Krsna, in the form of your lectures, your dear disciples who’ve inspired and shaped our lives, and your example in how deeply you connect with your services. Humbled by such a selfless gesture, all we can do is pray for the empowerment to be of some service to assist furthering Srila Prabhupada’s movement, his teachings, and the living, breathing culture of Vaisnavism.

I continue to be inspired by your tireless efforts to touch as many lives as possible through your deep and rich study of the Vaisnava literatures, thinking not just about all of us but also the generations far into the distant future. The scale and broad mindedness of what you do is simply astounding.

When Syama Sakhi and I first got married and met with you soon after, you gave us the instruction that our lifetime together should be spent chanting Hare Krsna and serving the devotees. We’ve still barely scratched the surface of what that could be, though by your mercy and the guidance of the devotees around us, we pray to always go deeper into that instruction.

Your aspiring servant,
Yasodanandana dasa

Syama Sakhi’s offering:

Please accept our most humble obeisances. All Glories to Your Divine Grace! All Glories to Srila Prabhupada!

What would we do without your love for Srimad-Bhagavatam which gives us the courage to open up the pages and discover Krsna and the magic of Srila Prabhupada’s compassion filled purports?

What would we do without your classes morning and evening reminding us that Krsna is real and we can experience Him right now in this moment just as you do?

What would we do without your repeatedly requesting us to develop our relationship with Krsna in His holy name retreat after retreat?

What would we do without your love and patience as we fumble and stumble in our attempts to assist you in your service to Srila Prabhupada?

What would we do if we didn’t have your stalwart example as a devoted and dedicated disciple of Srila Prabhupada?

In this age of darkness and confusion, we are so very grateful to be found and directed towards the lotus feet of Krsna. Thank you for never giving up on us! We pray that no obstacle can take us away from attempting to stay in Your service!

Your aspiring servant,
Syama Sakhi devi dasi
