Ekalavya dasa
I offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of His Holiness Romapada Swami, who is very dear to Srila Prabhupada, having taken shelter at his lotus feet.
Maharaja, I remember one time, we were having lunch together on the veranda of the lotus building in Mayapura during GBC meetings.
I asked you if you found the life of traveling and preaching austere.
You replied with a smile, “No. It’s fun.”
During one New York Ratha-yatra, you were answering questions at the questions and answers booth. I brought my middle aged, eastern European, opera singing teacher over to the booth, and he asked you, “Who is God?” You gave a very scientific reply based on Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.1.1, and he was very satisfied. He said that meeting you was the high point of the festival for him.
I am ever grateful to you for your ever-kind and continued inspiration to thousands of conditioned souls all over the globe, including my insignificant self.
Maharaja, I seek your blessings to follow in your footsteps and be intensely engaged in blissful service to Srila Prabhupada’s mission.
Always hoping to remain,
Your servant,
Ekalavya dasa
