My dear spiritual master, please, accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Often, when I see your disciples’ impressing Vaisnava qualities, I can’t help, but think of you. They reflect you in so many ways. It’s not just their apparent mundane piety, but rather a peaceful mood of spiritual consciousness generated by genuine detachment and absorption in the humble service attitude of serving Guru and Krsna. Knowledge is another feature they naturally manifest. Faithfully following and understanding the teachings and instructions of Srila Prabhupada without twisting the meaning to please the public opinion. They remind me of you, I guess, because I don’t see you very often and I naturally miss you.

So nice to experience how well they are trained! I feel proud when I see how they imbibed your sentiment so seriously. All this is possible, because you teach and show us (by example) an uncompromising determination, unstoppably advancing back to Godhead, back to Sri Vrndavana. We feel safe under your shelter and we’re calm, knowing we are receiving the absolute truth in it’s pure form without adulteration.

To me, things are this simple. I know I am securely situated under the care of Krsna’s bona fide representative and I am satisfied and peaceful, knowing I can trust him. We know, that’s not a small thing nowadays.

I am also impressed by the use of your vast intelligence. We see many intelligent devotees, but not all intellectuals have a pure heart. Without a sufficiently purified heart, intelligence will be the cause of our fall down, giving reason to so many doubts and purposeful misinterpretations to get one’s ego aggrandizement fulfilled. But when I listen to you in class or in person, I always hear an intellect saturated with pure devotion and your reasoning uplifts me to higher understandings of the sentiments of pure devotion.

Thank you, Maharaja, I couldn’t ask for anyone better…

Your insignificant servant,
Govinda dasa
