Please accept my most humble obeisances in the dust of your divine lotus feet. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! Hare Krsna.

In the scriptures, the material existence is rightly compared to a forest fire, an unsurmountable ocean, a blind well full of venomous snakes and so on. Great acaryas like Srila Bhakti Vinoda Thakura, Srila Prabhupada, etc., have warned us of the great perils of treading the path of material existence by relying on material assets like wealth, modern education, and family members.

As we step into the early forties of our life, we feel so grateful and sheltered for being the recipients of these timeless teachings and immense mercy in the form of the training from your blessed representatives Sir and Mataji. We can practically see all around us how money and education are so intoxicating, people are busy day and night, and life-long blindly pursuing self-made targets for acquiring them. Advanced age, bad health, broken relationships – yet nothing deters them from being allured by the power of maya. Had it not been for this mercy and association, we too would have been busy climbing the flimsy ladder of material achievements. The worst plight today in the society is of small budding children who become glued to cell phones and a myriad of other modern gadgets and thus get lost in the oblivion of the cyberspace.

On this most auspicious occasion of your Vyasa-puja, we seek your blessings to aspire for pure Vaisnava qualities and to become humble servants of the Vaisnavas.
