My dearmost and most respected spiritual master and eternal father,

Hare Krsna! Please accept my most humble obeisances in the dust of your most merciful divine lotus feet. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Lord Nitai-Gaurahari.

om ajnana-timirandhasya jnananjana-salakaya
caksur unmilitam yena tasmai sri-gurave namah

“I was born in the darkness of ignorance, and my spiritual master opened my eyes with the torch of knowledge.

nama om visnu-padaya krsna-presthaya bhu-tale
srimate romapada-svamin iti namine

“I offer my respectful and humble obeisances unto Srila Romapada Swami, who is very dear to Lord Krsna, having taken shelter at His lotus feet.”

Srila Gurudeva, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, for you have taken this most difficult task of delivering me from the clutches of maya. It is Krsna’s mercy and my immense fortune to be your disciple. As Lord Krsna says, “mama maya duratyaya.” Krsna’s material energy is very difficult to overcome. Srila Gurudeva, by your mercy anything is possible, and even a most fallen soul like me can hope to be Krsna conscious.

mukum karoti vacalam pangum langhayate girim
yat-krpa tam aham vande sri-gurum dina-taranam

“I offer my respectful obeisances unto my spiritual master, the deliverer of the fallen souls. His mercy turns the dumb into eloquent speakers and enables the lame to cross mountains.” (Sri Caitanya-caritamrta Madhya-lila 17.80)

It is amazing to personally witness how fully Krsna conscious you are. Intense traveling and a packed schedule can never stop you from serving Krsna in the most exalted, first-class manner. You are always fully absorbed in Krsna’s services, with full dedication to Srila Prabhupada.

I love very much to see the wonderful way you interact with and love all the persons you meet, and give such enthusiasm of love and bhakti to the family of devotees. That love is our saving grace. I don’t feel very strong and/or dedicated, and I don’t feel qualified to be your disciple, but your mercy is endless and eternal, and I will try to do better, day by day.
I heard that by Krsna’s mercy one gets guru and by guru’s mercy one gets Krsna. The relation itself says how dear your grace must be to Krsna. I don’t have enough intelligence to understand the greatness of a Spiritual Master directly. But I am trying to understand your greatness by associating with your dear most sons and daughters who are serving you with utmost care. I understand that I have a spiritual father who is guiding me, no matter where I am. As waves of the sea toss together and disperse a bundle of sticks, we numerous living entities come together as families and disperse, being tossed at death. But with this reality, it is very surprising that there is a relation which sustains eternally. That relation is with the spiritual master. He accompanies us until we are 100% pure servants of the Lord. I am begging I that I shall be able to utilize this lifetime carefully towards that eternity, and not this temporary reality.

We humbly pray at your lotus feet for your blessings that we always keep our hearts open to receive this flow of descending mercy and perfect our lives.

Thank you for caring for us and thank you for your commitment to bringing each and every one of us suffering conditioned souls, back home, back to Godhead.
