Vaisnava dasa and Saumya devi dasi
Most Respected Guru Mahārāja,
Hare Kṛṣṇa! Please accept our most humble obeisances in the dust of your divine lotus feet. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
In proportion to the growing degradation of the people of this age, ācāryas have to work increasingly harder to propagate Kṛṣṇa consciousness in the lives of people. Śrīla Prabhupāda shed gallons of blood to deliver people like us and poured abundant mercy in various forms such as books, temples, and his own example of living the precepts. Most importantly, he left behind his true followers, who unpack and expand the deep meaning from his books and help us imbibe the message of kṛṣṇa-bhakti. Lord Caitanya approved hearing from such representatives as the foundation for spiritual progress. Without this foundation of careful hearing and solid application, our so-called progress would be unsteady.
Sir has shared with us several times in classes and personal discussions about your total dedication and selfless sacrifices for the mission of Śrīla Prabhupāda. All through the times of difficulties and challenges, you have stuck to extending Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mercy in the lives of others. We are very fortunate to have your transparent representatives, Sir and Mātāji, in our lives, who have deeply imbibed this spirit of selfless sacrifice by your blessings. They have sacrificed any sense of their personal life to facilitate our growth in spiritual life by hearing in paramparā and to help us work on our spiritual foundation. By his investing time to know our psycho-physical nature and guiding us precisely as per that nature, we are able to withstand the vicious forces of Kali and have gained the faith to continue on. By gradual removal of our anarthās by this scientific hearing, we are prevented from living in delusions of self-grandeur and cause havoc in ours as well as others’ lives.
We seek your blessings to continue to derive inspiration to increasingly fine-tune our application of hearing and thus increase our faith and commitment to our teachers, and thus give happiness to you and Srila Prabhupada.
Your aspiring servants,
Vaisnava dāsa and Saumya devi dāsi
