Respected Guru Maharaja,

Hare Krsna! Please accept my humble obeisance at your lotus feet. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to your lotus feet.

Guru Maharaja, this auspicious occasion is the most important occasion of the entire year and it fills me with happiness and gratitude beyond compare. You are the force which propels the devotion in my heart towards the unconditional service of the Lord. Although I am not qualified to sufficiently glorify Your Divine Grace, I will attempt to do so relying on your blessings.

Guru Maharaja, you are an ocean of mercy and it is only because of your shelter that I have understood the importance and goal of this human form of life. You are imparting training to help me realise the real knowledge, the knowledge of the soul. My heart fills with gratitude by receiving all the wonderful gifts you have so mercifully bestowed upon me. Your amazing lectures are a source of spiritual strength and enthusiasm. Your words have the power to transform my consciousness and protect my tender creeper of devotion. The force of kali yuga is extremely strong and capable of agitating my mind away from pure devotion. Your instructions act as the anchor which protect me from being swayed by the force of material enjoyment. You have explained that to voluntarily give up the protection of these instructions would be the greatest folly on the path of loving devotion to Lord Krsna. To ensure that I may not give up, willingly or unwillingly, this shelter, you have extended the wonderful association of Jagadananda Prabhu and Ananda Vrndavana Mataji. Their presence in my life encourages me to move forward on this path.
