Maomao
Dear Romapada Maharaja,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Due to some outside turbulence and my own weakness, for many years of my spiritual life, I am like a candle flickering in the open air, or like a boat with a broken compass sailing on a boundless sea. Although holding precious jewels such as Srila Prabhupada’s books, my pain, and confusion cannot tell.
Thank you very much for lighting up this candle once again. Thank you for reestablishing the correct direction for this little boat. Those who have once lost know cherishing more. I am grateful for Lord Sri Krsna’s kind helping hand through many of His wonderful devotees, and especially your holiness Maharaja.
In moments of bewilderment, you gave clearness. Drowned in low modes of material nature, even without awareness, I was lifted up by your holiness through scriptures and fanning the “little bhakti fire inside”. When I was sailing seemingly boldly and smoothly, you kindly pointed out the hidden reefs. I bow down again and again under your lotus feet. Such a lucky fellow I am to get your divine guidance!
In Srimad-Bhagavatam, this human form of body is compared to a most valuable boat, and the spiritual master is the captain, guru-karnadharam, to guide the boat in plying across the ocean of nescience. The instruction of Krsna is a favorable breeze. One must use all these facilities properly to achieve the perfection of human life.
Under your lotus feet, I pray I can one day really serve your holiness sincerely. Also, please, may our sweet Lord take pity on us, and always bless you with long and healthy life.
Hare Krsna.
Your humble servant,
Bhaktin Maomao
