Dear Guru Maharaja,

Please accept my prostrate and humble obeisances.

Srila Prabhupada often refers to the following verse:

yasya deve parā bhaktir
yathā deve tathā gurau
tasyaite kathitā hy arthāḥ
prakāśante mahātmanaḥ

“Only unto those great souls who have implicit faith in both the Lord and the spiritual master are all the imports of the vedic knowledge automatically revealed.”
(Svetasvatara Upanisad 6.23)

Srila Prabhupada further states in the purport to Srimad-Bhagavatam 7.15.28: “Simply by rendering service to the spiritual master, one crosses the ocean of nescience and returns home, back to Godhead.”

This year we enthusiastically celebrate the 50th anniversary of ISKCON – a great milestone in Srila Prabhupada’s life mission of forming a successful movement that preaches the Lord’s glories.
We celebrate this jubilee by emphasizing book distribution – the perfect tool to educate people in Krsna consciousness. I appreciate very much having the opportunity of being educated by you through your classes and your pure example.

In your 2012 offering to Srila Prabhupada, you emphasize the importance of keeping unity in diversity. You mention a letter to Kirtanananda Swami wherein Srila Prabhupada explains what it means to be united in diversity:

“If we keep Krsna in the center, then there will be agreement in varieties. This is called unity in diversity.”

Dear Guru Maharaja, thank you for carrying this message throughout the world.

I have the hope to be strong on this path and look forward to the bright future the devotees have by serving under your guidance.

Your servant,
Param Gati devi dasi
