Dear Guru Maharaja,

On this most auspicious occasion of Your Vyasa-puja, I offer my most humble obeisances at Your Lotus feet. All glories to Your Divine Grace! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Guru Maharaja, my main meditation this year has been expanding book distribution efforts, in this 50th anniversary of Srila Prabhupada’s founding ISKCON.

Under the able guidance of Mother Mukhya, we launched the 50/50 campaign in the Alachua community in late January this year. Our byline has been – “Pay It Forward- Express your gratitude to Srila Prabhupada”. Through constant announcements, posters, business cards, twice-a-week book table… the community has become very conscious of “Distribute 50 books in 2016” drive. We have also installed an exclusive “Brhad mrdanga” bulletin board in a prominent location. Along with sankirtana news, we are posting names of every devotee who meets the 50/50 challenge. Currently, 85 names are posted. Scores of more are participating. In October, we reached the 10,000 books mark.

Guru Maharaja, as I interact with devotees, guests, and people on the street, and share the nectar of Srila Prabhupada’s books, I am overwhelmed with gratitude at the immense sacrifice you perform on behalf of us – your disciples – on a daily basis. I feel very connected to you Maharaja, in my service.

I pray at Your lotus feet to keep me engaged at the grassroots level in spreading Krsna consciousness. And that I continue to endeavor to be an efficient cog in the worldwide sankirtana team.
