Dear Guru Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances at the dust of Your lotus feet! All glories to Your Divine Grace! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

On this wonderfully auspicious occasion of Your Vyasa-puja, I offer this poem as a representation of my gratitude, devotion, and love.

In a maze of darkness where confusion continuously grows,
Your words of encouragement alight the path that shows
The ultimate happiness that springs from devotion,
The spiritual journey to cross this material ocean.

Though I have been stuck in numerous valleys,
Your selfless love has been my strongest ally.
Your principles of guidance show a life truly worth living.
I am indebted for the causeless mercy you never stop giving.

There are times when I fear losing sight of the shore,
For I know without Your presence, I would drift away even more.
But Your anchor of love gives me the courage to stay strong,
You are the perfect captain to show me right from wrong.

As each year passes by, I can only hope to try
And please You by following the way You have shown,
This beautiful spiritual path that will take me home.

Guru Maharaja, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the most important person in my life. I have never felt a love so pure and I beg for Your mercy to always get closer to You. I know that I only have to follow the course You have set for my spiritual journey to find true happiness in this sea of misery.
