I was born in the darkest ignorance, and my spiritual master opened my eyes with the torch of knowledge. I offer my respectful obeisances unto him.

Dear Guru Maharaja,

Please accept our most humble obeisances on this most auspicious day of your Vyasa-puja. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada! All Glories to you, his dear disciple!

This year, with the birth of our daughter, we have entered a new chapter in our life. We now have someone who is completely dependent on us for everything. Being put in this situation really makes us grateful for all of those who have brought us up to where we are now. Many people made many sacrifices – sleepless nights, anxiety over our well-being, loving service to help us grow, and changing countless diapers in our more formative years.

We thought of you – you didn’t have to care for us, but you did anyways. To be responsible for taking us back to Godhead is such a big task and we are only beginning to realize that, now that we are in a position to also be responsible for another spirit soul. In a detached way, you have been extending a loving hand for so many years, showing us that a life of Krsna consciousness is the most beautiful gift in the world.

On this auspicious day, we pray that we can deeply internalize your message to always remember the beauty and wonder of this gift. We pray for the strength to be able to share this love that we have received with others. And we pray that we will be able to bring joy to you and your dear disciples.

Thank you for being with all of us every step of the way, giving us the gift of Krsna and allowing us to try to assist you in your eternal service to Srila Prabhupada.

Vrajalila’s Offering:

Dear Maharaja,

Thank you for taking the effort over many years to create an amazing sanga here in Chicago for me to be born into. My parents and I are surrounded by loving devotees who are supporting us at every step of our lives. I pray to get many opportunities to serve you in the coming years. Thanks for taking good care of my parents.

Your aspiring servant,
Vrajalila
