Dear Guru Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I am writing this offering in light of Srila Prabhupada’s appearance day, when thousands of Krsna’s devotees would gather together expressing gratitude to His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, exceptional disciple of His spiritual master, empowered acarya of Krsna consciousness to the whole world. Even not being physically with us, he didn’t just leave this world and leave us without guidance. Srila Prabhupada still guides us through his books and his outstanding disciples, who follow in his footsteps and with unflinching faith continue his mission of spreading Krsna consciousness all over the world. Such a disciple of Srila Prabhupada is my spiritual master, my Guru Maharaja, Srila Romapada Swami.

To my luck without any obvious qualifications, I have received Bhagavad-gita into my hands from a friend, and by the same causeless mercy I became an aspiring servant, if I can even call myself like that, of my Spiritual Master, His Holiness Romapada Swami.

Whatever guidance I receive from my Spiritual Master, Guru Maharaja, makes me strongly believe that there is a guidance of Srila Prabhupada and the Lord Himself. Because of the mercy of my Spiritual Master, I am able to set apart the material designation as “I am a woman”, with the list of things that woman needs, from my real identity as “I am a spirit soul”, “I am not my body” and all I need is the shelter of his Lordship Krsna and pure devotional service.

I am always grateful to you for your choosing me to become your disciple and for having you as my spiritual guide which you are, as well as being as a father and as a senior friend to me. I feel safe knowing that you are always there to pick me up from the clutches of maya, for allowing me to stay in your association and the association of your disciples, guiding me by means of your multiple lectures, as well as by personal advice.

What you do for all of us Guru Maharaja, cannot be measured.  It is not only the precious hours you put in serving their Lordship Krsna and your Spiritual Master Srila Prabhupada, and giving us your association mornings, evenings, and more times a day, day-to-day.

It is also unmeasurable the enlightenment that I receive with each of your detailed presentations on topics of Bhagavad-gita, Srimad-Bhagavatam, Ramayana, virtual tours to holy places, Holy Name festivals, as well as the retreats you are offering to us all over the US, and taking us abroad to India, to the secret places of Lord Krsna’s, Lord Rama’s, and Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s pastimes.

I cannot put a price on the question-and-answer sessions that conclude each of your presentations, they are priceless.

Listening to your lecture series, or any lectures separately, or attending any devotional gathering with you teaches me by your personal example to love God and His devotees. It gives me knowledge of a divine subject, and cultivates in me the preaching skills, such as tolerance, patience, acceptance, humility, respect, selflessness, gratitude and more.

What else do I really need in this world besides Srila Prabhupada’s teaching, your divine association, association with all the glorious devotees of the Lord, the devotional service? There is nothing else I need!

I am so grateful having you in my life as my Spiritual Master and I hope that whatever I do in Krsna’s service, as impure as it is, pleases you. Without your being pleased I have no hope!

Your loving and aspiring servant,
Yugala Priti devi dasi
