Dear Guru Maharaja!
Please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to you!
On this special day of your guru-puja celebration, I thank you for the sweet nectar you have bestowed upon me. I offer my deep prayers to the Supreme Lord. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and all glories to your Holiness. I thank you for passing to us loving energy, sankirtana and philosophical teachings by virtue of the cyberspace.
I was born in the darkest ignorance. It is you, my Guru Maharaja, that has opened my eyes with the torch of knowledge. I offer my sincere obeisances to you.
It’s been nine months since I took shelter of you. You have mercifully sent a group of advanced devotees like Harakanta devi dasi to such a fallen soul as me. You have kindly awakened the dormant soul with the power of knowledge, making the fallen soul realize that without the instructions and mercy of a spiritual master, one can hardly move forward in the material world. I offer you my sincere obeisances.
You are always immersed in chanting Krsna’s holy name and dancing before the deities. You offer obeisances to the Lord as if you were in the ocean of love for God. You envy nobody and is therefore loved by everybody. Whatever you do is absolutely pleasing to everybody. You have obtained the complete blessings from Srila Prabhupada. In performing devotional services, you have overcome eating and sleeping. You are always humble and meek, enthralled by the transcendental qualities of the Lord. You are dedicated to the mission of delivering the souls fallen into this material world.
Following the instructions of Srila Prabhupada, you are bringing the human society the highest welfare and interest. By virtue of your spiritual vision, you are spreading the pastimes of the Lord which purify and inspire the devotees and fallen souls in the material world. For that, you are respected by the three worlds. You are wholeheartedly occupied in rendering loving services to Radha and Krsna in the mood of cowherd girls. For that, you are worthy to seek shelter from.
You have guided us into Vrndavana, at the lake of Radha-kunda, at the bank of the Yamuna, in the shade of the banyan tree, with ecstasy of love for Krsna. You are always drowned in the mystic Krsna consciousness.
I thank you for allowing us to taste, with gratitude, the sweetness of walking on the path back to Godhead. Please forgive this fallen soul for her slow progress. I thank you for your great patience, for your love and tolerance. I pray for your doubled mercy. I pray to become one of your instruments, to become a responsible disciple, upholding the principle of “simple living and high thinking.”
Your mercy is my life and soul. Hare Krsna!
