Devamira dasa and Sravaniya devi dasi
Respected Guru Maharaja,
Hare Krsna! Please accept our humble obeisances at your lotus feet. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and all glories to Your Divine Grace.
The auspicious occasion of your divine appearance day is yet another opportunity for us to reflect on the causeless mercy being sent our way. Our hearts overflow with gratitude towards Your Divine Grace and we pray that the same increases exponentially with each passing day.
The past couple of years had posed many challenges to us with the premature birth of our daughter, life-threatening Covid infection, dealing with the conditioned behaviors of certain individuals, moving from city of our residence, and so on.
Maharaja, throughout these trying times, your instructions were the boat which pulled us through. The support of the Indore devotees—especially of Jagadananda Prabhuji and Anand Vrndavana Mataji—in maintaining our sadhana and our consciousness cannot be expressed sufficiently.
Due to your presence in our lives, though we were fearful and struggling with the circumstances, there was always a sense of shelter and protection. We were sure that whatever happens, happens for our spiritual growth. We were able to accept the fact that material life is a place of constant turbulence and protection of Lord Jagannatha is accessible, with Him protecting our service to harinama and the Vaisnavas. This is the real aim of life; the aim is not to seek some comfort in this uncomfortable place filled with agitating circumstances.
It was evident that Krsna consciousness is the only desirable goal and whatever material benefits are needed to maintain our service to the Holy Name and the Vaisnavas will be provided without any extra endeavor for the same. Our duty is to simply remain focused towards the constant endeavor to execute selfless devotional service.
Your instruction to accept the reality of this world and to have realistic expectations from oneself and others gave us the strength to learn that the only person who needs reformation is our own selves and not anyone else.
Maharaja, we shudder to imagine how we would have passed the past couple of years in the absence of your instructions and without the association of devotees. With deep gratitude, we desire to dedicate our very lives to you and to your instruction to selflessly serve the Holy Name and the Vaisnavas.
Your instructions in the form of your lectures are a storehouse of immense wealth. Your words and messages have the power to mold the lives and pacify the hearts of everyone, especially those who find themselves constantly strugglin
We earnestly pray to Lord Jagannatha to bestow upon us even a minute fraction of the service mood you carry towards Srila Prabhupada. May we imbibe the gratitude which you carry towards your spiritual master and following in your footsteps, may we also dedicate our lives in the service of our spiritual master as you have done.
With deepest gratitude,
Your servants,
Devamira dasa and Sravaniya devi das
