Dear Srila Romapada Swami,
There is this statement made that hierarchy or divine order is Krsna’s system such that Krsna takes His place at the top and everybody below Him is meant to see themselves as servants serving those who are below by offering protection. (Spiritual culture, Devaki devi dasi did). Thus, the ultimate purpose of Krsna’s divine system is protection such that the consideration of higher and lower within the system is on the absolute platform and is not from the perspective of a judgement of better or worse. The idea is presented that a mundane system by contrast is one of lording it over others i.e., removing Krsna from the top of the hierarchy. (Spiritual culture, Devaki devi dasi)
I have been understanding in a deeper way the idea of humility. (An absence or freedom from pride or self assertion) and its interrelationship with Krsna’s system which has this flow of protection.
Srila Romapada Swami you have drawn attention to the humility of Lord Brahma who you point out shows discernment and reveals to us the correct understanding of the Personality of Godhead. He is the receiver of transcendental knowledge of all the Vedas directly from the Supreme Personality of Godhead imparted within his heart. In turn he established a disciplic succession which we are a part of. In particular you point to Lord Brahma giving the answer for how one knows the unknowable: through humility and submission to the Supreme Person, He can disclose Himself. (FOHN Chicago 2015) One of those prayers of Lord Brahma: (Srimad-Bhagavatam 10.14.1), “My dear Lord You are the only worshipable Lord, the Supreme Personality of Godhead and therefore I offer my humble obeisances and prayers just to please You. O son of the king of cowherds, Your transcendental body is blue like a new cloud. Your garment is brilliant like lightening and the beauty of Your face is enhanced by the gunja earrings and the peacock feather on Your head…”
So, Krsna is revealing Himself through the humility of His disciple. In the same way I hear your deep appreciation for Lord Brahma – “Krsna showed this form to Brahma because Brahma wanted to see the limit of Krsna’s opulences which are unlimited. So Krsna gave him this vision”. In this way I understand the deep humility that you carry.
My good fortune is being in this flow of protection of Krsna’s system with you as my worshipable spiritual master sharing the insights coming from humility.
Your servant,
Krsnarcana devi dasi
