Hare Krsna Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada and unto you!

Maharaja, last year on the 20th of November, you gave me initiation and thus took me under your shelter. For this, I am very grateful to you.

I chant my sixteen rounds and read Bhagavad-gita every day, and I have finished reading the Gita this year. As per your instructions, I am also reading the book Padyavali with my granddaughter, who helps me to understand it. It has very beautiful and meaningful verses. I have not been able to read Srimad-Bhagavatam much, but I hope to read it regularly in the coming year with your and Krsna’s mercy.

At the end of February this year, I suddenly became critically ill for two months. My son, Govardhan dasa, spoke with you at that time and you gave my family support and encouragement by your instructions and consolation. You would also check on my health with Paramananda Prabhu even months after I was discharged from the hospital. This shows how compassionate and kind you are to your disciples, even if we are not deserving of it. With your prayers, as well as all the devotees’ prayers, and with Krsna’s mercy, I am now slowly recovering. For this, I am very obliged and grateful to you, to the devotees, and to the Lord. I have got a new lease of life because of you.

When I heard that you are coming to Singapore in October this year, I became very happy. I am now awaiting your arrival here. I try to perform my devotional service to the best of my abilities, and I pray for your blessings and mercy to do this and much more for you, Srila Prabhupada, and Krsna.

Your humble servant,
Padyavali devi dasi
