Dear Guru Maharaja,

Please accept our humble obeisances in the dust of your divine lotus feet. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

First and foremost, thank you for your merciful presence in our lives, Guru Maharaja. One of your most prominent qualities is that you are always committed to the spiritual progress of all people that you interact with. The more you know the person, the more your commitment is to safeguard their journey towards Krsna. It is very rarely one can see such true well-wishers in this world today. Thank you for being one and thank you for being in our lives.

We have so many things to learn from you: your patience and tolerance of our mistakes; the way you gently interact with devotees; the service mood combined with genuine humility—there is so much to learn from you and so much for us to improve in these important areas. We pray at your lotus feet on this auspicious occasion to imbibe your teachings exhibited by you every moment as an illuminated pathway to Godhead.

By your mercy, Krsna is blessing us with many service opportunities, some of which are quite challenging. We pray for thoughtfulness to execute these services properly in a way that is highly pleasing to you. Many times, we have doubts about whether we can do justice to the many responsibilities that we are taking up in services. We are truly not qualified in many ways, but our only qualification is to be under your merciful shelter.

With hope, determination, and patience, we would like to take the small steps towards the goal of purity—to have our thoughts, words, and actions be very pleasing to you, to Srila Prabhupada, to the guru-parampara, and to Sri Sri Radha Krsna.
