Sankarsana dasa
Dear Guru Maharaja,
Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to you on this auspicious day of your Vyasa-puja. All glories to Srila Prabhupada, parampara and Sri Radha-Krsna.

nama om visnu-padaya krsna-presthaya bhu-tale
srimate bhaktivedanta-svamin iti namine
On this auspicious day of your Vyasa-puja celebration, I offer my dandavat to the dust of your lotus feet. You are an empowered personality in distributing the holy name of the Lord and in enjoining all fallen souls to worship Krsna. Please bestow your mercy on the most fallen soul like me by giving shelter at your lotus feet.
You are above the considerations of varnasrama-dharma. By your mercy one day I shall also rise above this bodily platform like you and taste the nectar of Krsna’s Lotus feet.
You have deep faith in your guru’s instruction and by your mercy may that faith arise in my heart too. By your sincere surrender and service to your guru Srila Prabhupada all the transcendental knowledge has been revealed in your heart and your heart is always filled with krsna–prema, by your mercy let a drop of that knowledge and prema arise in my heart.
You bestow your mercy on all fallen souls and devotees by visiting different places and glorify the Lord and His Names and sanctify the places by always carrying Lord in your heart.
mukam karoti vacalam pangum langhayate girim
yat-krpa tam aham vande sri gurum dina-taranam
“I offer my respectful obeisances unto my spiritual master, the deliverer of the fallen souls. His mercy turns the dumb into eloquent speakers and enables the lame to cross mountains.”
I am a perfect example of mukam and pangum. But, by your divine mercy I am applying your instructions in my life by hearing your lectures, meditating on mantra sound vibration in chanting at least 16 rounds, serving Krsna and His devotees and is able to do different services by Your grace alone. Otherwise, I am utterly incompetent to think and do anything on my own.
By thinking of your lotus feet and our guru parampara all the obstacles on the path of devotion are cleared out. By taking your darshan and hearing from you deepens my faith in Sri Krsna. Your caring words and reply to emails make my heart feel ecstatic. I’m able to feel the flow of yours, guru–parampara’s and Lord Krsna’s mercy whether facing difficult challenges or in normal activities by applying your instructions.
So, on the most auspicious day of your appearance I beg that you please accept this offering as a humble attempt to somehow or other reciprocate with Your causeless mercy. Furthermore, I beg that you kindly remove the black umbrella of ignorance that is presently covering me so that I can properly receive and follow your instruction and try and serve Your lotus feet with ever-increasing purity, love and devotion.
Your humble servant,
Sankarsana dasa
