“I was born in the darkest ignorance, and my spiritual master opened my eyes with the torch of knowledge. I offer my respectful obeisances unto him.”
Dear Guru Maharaja,
Please accept our most humble obeisances on this most auspicious day of your Vyasa-puja. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada! All Glories to you, his dear disciple!
We’re feeling so fortunate to be part of this most auspicious gathering. A wonderful occasion to celebrate one who has transformed lives around the world for decades and continues to do so. A day to remember the creative ways in which Krsna consciousness has been presented and made easily digestible for various audiences. A time to honor one who goes to any length to make Srila Prabhupada’s teachings available even in the most remote areas of the world. We can only marvel at such a person who believes in us even when we don’t ourselves and gently pushes us to take even a baby step towards the goal of life no matter how many times we may stumble and fall. With all the uncertainty in the world around us, it’s an incredible feeling of security to know that your love and wisdom is and always will be there.
Reminiscing in this way can only bring us to the realization that we fall short of reciprocating with the immense amount of love and care coming our way through you and your dear disciples. And so, on this most auspicious day we pray to always have a grateful heart, to be able to soak up the teachings you impart deep within our hearts, and the strength to attempt to assist in your mission to serve Srila Prabhupada.
Your aspiring servants,
Yasodanandana dasa and Syama Sakhi devi dasi
