“I offer my respectful obeisance’s unto my spiritual master, the deliverer of the fallen souls. His mercy turns dumb into eloquent speakers and enables the lame to cross mountains.”

First, I want to thank you for accepting me as your disciple. I was an ignorant and faithful demi-god worshipper who would run to temples to ask for material boons. And how, by the mercy of Srila Prabhupada and your Divine Grace, I have been pulled into the ocean of bliss of Krsna consciousness and have received this most precious jewel of bhakti in my life. I was and still am ignorant of my eternal position as a soul, but at least by your kind shelter, I now know the goal of life and the position of this body within the context of the material world. I remember how I used to ask you questions regarding suffering in this material world and about Krsna not reciprocating to my prayers. You patiently and lovingly answered all my questions, giving me a chance to peek into the flowing mercy of Krsna.

Guru Maharaja, I have received a lot from you in the form of initiation, which means a second chance in my life to leave all material conceptions behind and situate myself on the transcendental platform of being a servant of the servants. Today, on this day of your Vyasa-puja, I wish to pray at your lotus feet to become a humble servant in this mission of Srila Prabhupada and become a carrier of this legacy further. May I never leave the shelter of your lotus feet and remain indebted to you, life after life.

Although I have very limited opportunity to get your vapuh association, you have always personally taken care of all our spiritual needs. Your prompt responses to our emails, arranging yatras, and most importantly, your personal example of your dedication to Srila Prabhupada inspire us to carry forward. Although I don’t know how I can render some service to this mission, I have this desire in my heart and I also have faith that by the mercy of guru, one can do anything. With this faith, I want to continue with full determination, aspiring for purity and when the right opportunity and the right time comes, I may also contribute and serve you and show my gratitude to you for your labor of love. Thank you very much.

Your aspiring servant,
