Dear Guru Maharaja,

On the day of your auspicious appearance please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet! All glories to Srila Prabhupada! All glories to you!

You are the best disciple of Srila Prabhupada, our best spiritual master, a representative of Krsna, you follow the teachings of your spiritual master, spread Krsna’s knowledge to all beings and you fulfill the mission of preaching day after day and year after year without any difficulty.

Gurudeva, your coming is an arrangement of Krsna and it is my good fortune to be destined to be your disciple. I am a fallen soul saved by your mercy, you made me understand a spiritual master is a spiritual father, showed me the purpose of life and the way back home. I am grateful to you Guru Maharaja.

Every time I listen to your sweet, transcendental voice during your lectures I feel like a child nestled at my father’s side – listening to his teachings with a sense of understanding nourishing my spirituality. On this spiritual path I will follow the example of the devotees, be firm in my faith, abide by the four basic principles, and return to the lotus feet of Lord Krsna under your guidance.

I have been initiated for one year and I have not reported to you about my studies in the system and the help of the devotees. I feel that I am too unqualified to be your disciple, but through your mercy I have become fortunate and I am thankful to you. I am deeply indebted to you for the mercy.
