Sankarsana dasa
Dear Guru Maharaja,
Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to you on this auspicious day of your Vyasa-puja. All glories to Srila Prabhupada, parampara and Sri Radha-Krsna.

nama om visnu-padaya krsna-presthaya bhu-tale
srimate bhaktivedanta-svamin iti namine
On this auspicious day of your Vyasa-puja celebration, I offer my dandavat at the dust of your lotus feet. You are an empowered personality and distributing the holy name of the Lord and enjoining all fallen souls to worship Krsna. I am a perfect example of the most fallen soul and you bestowed your mercy on me by giving me shelter at your lotus feet.
You are krsnalingita-vigraha – one who is always embraced by Sri Krsna. By your mercy one day I should be able to rise above this bodily platform like you and taste the nectar of Sri Radha-Krsna’s lotus feet like a honey bee.
Lord Sri Rama and Sri Krsna have set a great example of taking shelter at the feet of guru and serving the guru nicely. May I remember this by your mercy and remain humble always.
By your sincere surrender and serving to your guru Srila Prabhupada all the transcendental knowledge is revealed in your heart and your heart is filled with krsna-prema. By your mercy may a drop of that knowledge and prema arise in my heart.
mukam karoti vacalam pangum langhayate girim
yat-krpa tam aham vande sri gurum dina-taranam
“I offer my respectful obeisances unto my spiritual master, the deliverer of the fallen souls. His mercy turns the dumb into eloquent speakers and enables the lame to cross mountains.”
I am a perfect example of mukam and pangum but by your divine mercy I am applying your instructions in my life and able to do some research on Brahma-vaivarta Purana, meet different parampara heads (Vaisnavites and Sankarites) and others to discuss on radha-krsna-tattva. Otherwise, I am utterly incompetent to think and do so.
I am feeling the flow of mercy of parampara and Lord Krsna in different challenges and in all situations by applying your instructions and praying for your mercy.
So on the most auspicious day of your appearance I beg that you please accept this offering as a humble attempt to somehow or other reciprocate with your causeless mercy. Furthermore, I beg that you kindly remove the black umbrella of ignorance that is presently covering me so that I can properly receive and follow your instruction and try to serve your lotus feet with ever-increasing purity, love and devotion.
Your humble servant,
Sankarsana dasa
