Dearest and most respectful His Holiness Romapada Swami Guru Maharaja,

om ajnana-timirandhasya jnananjana salakaya
caksur unmilitam yena tasmai sri gurave namah

On this auspicious occasion of your 76th Vyasa-puja, I offer my heartfelt obeisances at your lotus feet. Your unwavering dedication— tivrena bhakti-yogena —to Radha-Krsna for over five decades is a beacon of selfless service, embodying Srila Prabhupada’s instructions: ‘Books are the basis; Purity is the force; Preaching is the essence: Utility is the principle.’

Maharaja, in your presence—whether through your lectures, instilled teachings, or mere remembrance — I feel protected, nurtured, and guided on the path of krsna-bhakti. Your words, “Gratitude is the seed of love”, resonate deeply within me, and it is with this seed that I pray for the strength to serve Radha-Krsna and Their devotees under your loving guidance.

I pray to Krsna and Srila Prabhupada that I may fully surrender to your lotus feet, allowing you to take charge as the captain of the boat guiding this soul with favorable winds to its original and eternal destination (plavam su-kalpam guru-karnadharam, Srimad-Bhagavatam 11.20.17). With unwavering faith and devotion as a sraddadhana devotee, I aspire to remain absorbed in hareh padanusmrti (constant remembrance of the lotus feet of the Lord), and immersion in the service of lila-purusottama (the supreme best of all persons), uplifted by your mercy as a humble instrument of service.

Forever indebted and devoted servant,
Ananta Acarya dasa
