Dear Guru Maharaja,
Please accept my humble obeisances in the dust of your divine lotus feet. All glories to your Divine Grace. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.
On this auspicious day of your appearance, I want to express my deepest gratitude. Thank you so much Gurudeva for giving me the shade of your lotus feet and opening my mind to see the way through this place of misery.
Your potency is so powerful that even a conditioned person like me can be given the realization and some taste for the holy names. How can I ever understand how compassionate you have been to me? Out of many millions of wandering living entities, one who is very fortunate gets an opportunity to associate with a bona fide spiritual master by the grace of Krsna. By the mercy of both Krsna and the spiritual master, such a person receives the seed of the creeper of devotional service.
The verse from Bhagavad-gita 9.34, inspires me the most.
man-mana bhava mad-bhakto
mad-yaji mam namaskuru
mam evaisyasi yuktvaivam
atmanam mat-parayanah
“Engage your mind always in thinking of Me, become My devotee, offer obeisances to Me and worship Me. Being completely absorbed in Me, surely you will come to Me.”
You have given me access to the greatest wealth in the form of knowledge and some taste for chanting the holy names. I simply pray that by your mercy You will give me the vision to see through the eyes of sastra and to have the ability to improve every day. It is by Your mercy that I can become qualified to progress. On this very auspicious day, I beg for your blessing and mercy so that I continue to cultivate the determination to attentively chant the holy names and to keep me always under the shelter.
Your most fallen servant,
Antardvipa dasa
