Lavanga-manjari devi dasi
Dear Guru Maharaja!
Obeisances unto the lotus feet of the most respected Gurudeva!
I am your disciple, Lavanga-manjari devi dasi from Kaifeng, China. I apologize deeply for not writing to you since last year Vyasa-puja. I also ask for forgiveness from Guru Maharaja. It is almost your Vyasa-puja’s time now, and I sincerely wish Gurudeva happiness, peace, and prosperity! Preaching smoothly! Everything is fine!
Dear Gurudeva, you are my spiritual father, and I long to see you and be with you in person. This wish came true in August last year, when you traveled thousands of miles away to Kaifeng. It is a great gratitude and comfort to me, and my long-awaited heart has finally landed. Seeing your figure, I feel a sense of familiarity. You are walking briskly. Before I could even bow down to your lotus feet, you flew over. You don’t look like an old man in his 70s, you’re just a young man. Our Kaifeng devotees obeisances to you, feeling so excited and at ease! You are so kind and majestic. You smiled and greeted us one by one, but when your gaze swept over me, my whole body was nervous and I didn’t know what language to use to respond, only bowing and thanking! Your instruction to us is: “Always remember Krsna, never forget Krsna.” This sentence is deeply imprinted in my heart, remembering your teachings. Although our personal association was brief, it left a particularly deep impression on me this time.
Dear Gurudeva, in order to preach and fulfill the mission of Srila Prabhupada, you have braved the wind and rain. Under your guidance, many outstanding Chinese children have freed themselves from material constraints and received spiritual nourishment.
My dearest master! You are the guide on our spiritual journey, a role model for devotees, and at the same time, you care for these young devotees on the land of China. My most respected master, on the path of spiritual cultivation. You are the closest and most reliable person to me. I will work hard to learn, cultivate knowledge, adhere to the four principles, and chant 16 rounds well.
Finally, I once again wish the respected Gurudeva a happy birthday! Preaching smoothly!
Your humble servant,
Lavanga-manjari devi dasi
