“I offer my respectful obeisances unto my spiritual master, the deliverer of the fallen souls. His mercy turns the dumb into eloquent speakers and enables the lame to cross mountains.”
At the lotus feet of dear Gurudeva,
Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to you on this auspicious day of your Vyasa-puja and all glories to Srila Prabhupada.
My dear Gurudeva, how can I thank you for all that you have given and the nectar you are continuously giving to dissipate our ignorance, day and night, rain or shine; like Krsna, you never get tired. During last year’s Udupi yatra, I learnt from your nectarean lectures that Uttaradi Mutt is the educational wing who trained all the Udupi Matha on how to do devotional service, which I didn’t know being a Madhva.
Recently while attending to His Grace Mahadev Prabhu, Srila Prabhupada’s disciple, at a hospital in Houston, he asked me who is your spiritual master and was delighted to hear my response. He immediately recalled his interactions with you at New York temple and said, “aha Romapada Swami Maharaja, he is a good devotee and allowed me to walk behind him when he walked up and down during chanting, tall 6’, he’s a good man. I didn’t have many interactions with him. I traveled on a bus, and had different devotees who were my leaders, that’s why we’re here. I am so happy for you Prabhu.”
Dear Gurudeva, please accept my sincere apologies for serving the same boring asparagus green soup continuously, while you didn’t say anything and happily took the soup prasadam.
Constantly, inspired by you, your Godbrothers, Godsisters and devotees, whom I had association during Udupi yatra, Vraja-mandala parikrama, holy name retreats at Govardhana, Vyasa-puja, and Japa retreats. Every day, remembering sweet and wonderful experiences during Udupi yatra keeps me inspired.
Wish to become a true disciple and a devotee in one of my lives…
Dasanudasa,
Raghava Caitanya dasa
