Abhirama dasa Vanachari

On this occasion honoring the appearance and life of His Holiness Romapada Swami, let me add my own humble obeisances at the feet of my senior God brother, who has always tried to assist and encourage me for serving Srila Prabhupada. When I could not go one step forward in my attempt to build up the harinama asrama, 10 years back. Sriman Ramaraya, myself and a few other devotees slept on a basement floor in Queens, just so the harinama could continue in NYC. Only Devideva Prabhu and Romapada Swami kept us fed and eventually Maharaja arranged for a nice asrama house to allow us to succeed.

Maharaja has been steadfast in his vows and enthusiastic in his leadership for more than half a century and earned the deep respect of many, but especially me. May he be properly appreciated by all vaisnava and on this auspicious day when his disciples celebrate him, let it be known to all that he is a bright spark of our Founder Acarya Srila Prabhupada.
